Tangshan, referred to as "Tang" for short, is a prefecture-level city in Hebei Province, located in the east of Hebei Province, northeast of North China Plain, bordering Bohai Sea in the south, Yanshan Mountain in the north, adjacent to Beijing and Tianjin, and at the throat of North China and Northeast China. It is the central city of Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan industrial base and the sub-central city in the northeast of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, with a total area of 13472 square kilometers.

As of 20 17, Tangshan has jurisdiction over 7 districts, 5 counties and 2 county-level cities with a total registered population of 7.596 million. The regional GDP reached 7 106 1 100 million yuan, of which the added value of the primary industry was 60.07 billion yuan, that of the secondary industry was 48/kloc-0.40 billion yuan, and that of the tertiary industry was 242.4 billion yuan. The annual per capita GDP was 90,290 yuan.

There are many stratigraphic sequences in Tangshan, and Archean and Proterozoic are mainly exposed in the northern mountainous areas. Cambrian and Ordovician are mainly distributed in the two wings of Kaiping syncline; Most of Carboniferous and Permian are hidden in the southern plain. A small amount of Jurassic outcropped in Lianhuayuan and Guantoushan areas of Gan 'an County. The Tertiary was discovered in Xinzhuang-Yinzhuang area south of Qianxi County and buried deep in the south of Xugezhuang-Luannan County. Quaternary system is extremely developed, and its distribution area accounts for about 3/5 of the total area of the city, forming a broad piedmont inclined plain.

Along the Great Wall in the northern mountainous area of Tangshan, the scenery is quaint, gathering the essence of the Ming Great Wall, including Qianxi Underwater Great Wall, Qian 'an Marble Great Wall, Jiufeng Mountain "Dry-built Great Wall", Great Wall Brick Kiln "Zuosan Kiln", xifengkou, Qingshan Pass and so on. Qing Dongling, Malanyu Town, zunhua city, is a national key cultural relic protection unit and a world cultural heritage.

In the central city of the Central Plains, there is the Great South Lake National Ecological Park built on the basis of coal mining subsidence, with 6,543,800 trees of all kinds and a green area of 607 hectares. There are more than 40 species of emergent plants, floating plants and submerged plants in more than 20 families, and more than 30 species of animals and fish, which maintain the integrity of the wetland system.
