Chongqing International Studies University is two books. Chongqing International Studies University, also known as Sichuan International Studies University, is located in Shapingba District, Chongqing. It is a full-time ordinary college directly under the Chongqing Municipal People's Government approved by the Ministry of Education and one of the first four foreign language specialized colleges and universities established in China.
The College of Foreign Languages and Cultures of Chongqing University is a college established by Chongqing University and located in Chongqing. Party Secretary Ou Ling and Dean Mo Qiyang. The school motto is "Be hardworking, diligent and thrifty, study hard and love the country".
As of April, 20 17, there are 77 faculty members/KLOC-0, and there are two authorized points for doctors and masters in foreign languages and literature, and two authorized points for masters in translation and international Chinese education.
Foreign linguistics and applied linguistics are the first batch of key construction disciplines in Chongqing, and foreign languages and literature are the key disciplines in Chongqing during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, the Thirteenth Five-Year Plan and the Fourteenth Five-Year Plan.
There are English Department, Japanese Department, German Department, International Chinese Education Department, University Foreign Language Education Center and Graduate Education Center. There are four undergraduate majors: English, Japanese, German and international Chinese education. There are 9 languages including English, Japanese, German, Italian, French, Greek, Korean, Latin and Sanskrit.
The college was formerly the Foreign Languages Department founded by 1932, and 1995 was formally established. In 2000, the College merged with the former Foreign Languages Department of chongqing jianzhu university and the former English Teaching and Research Department of Chongqing Jianzhu University to form the new Foreign Languages College of Chongqing University. In 2022, the Department of International Chinese Education was merged into the School of Foreign Languages.
