The School of Aeronautics and Astronautics of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China was formally established in May 2002 1 1. The school was established on the basis of the School of Aerospace Science and Technology of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China established in 2006. The College has hired more than 20 outstanding experts in the aerospace field as part-time professors, including 1 member of China Academy of Sciences and 3 members of China Academy of Engineering. The school appointed Dean Qin Wei, Party Secretary Liu Qiang and Vice President. President Wang Jinsong awarded the license to the newly established Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
