The college now has three departments: chemistry department, chemical engineering and bioengineering department and chemical biology department. The college has five undergraduate majors: chemistry, energy chemistry, chemical biology, chemical engineering and technology, and biological engineering. It has the first batch of "National Basic Science Research and Teaching Talents Training Bases", the first batch of "National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Centers" and the first batch of "National Teaching Teams", and has been selected into the national experimental plan for cultivating top students in basic disciplines. It is the implementation school of the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" of the Ministry of Education and the "Innovative Talents Training Demonstration Base" of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
