American News released the ranking of global universities in 2023. Although compared with QS, Soft Science and The Times, American news released the ranking of global universities late, but it is highly sought after because of its objective and fair indicators.

In the latest list, the top ten universities in the world are Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University, University of California at Berkeley, Oxford University, Washington University, Columbia University, Cambridge University, California Institute of Technology and Johns Hopkins University. TOP 1 1-20 are: Yale University, University College London, Imperial College London, University of California, Los Angeles College, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University, University of California, San Francisco, University of Toronto, University of Michigan, ann arbor and University of California, San Diego.

In addition, there are four mainland universities in China, namely Tsinghua University (23rd in the world), Peking University (39th in the world), Shanghai Jiaotong University (89th in the world) and Zhejiang University (93rd in the world).
