I. Computer Major (1978 ——1988)
1978 the computer teaching and research section was separated from the mathematics department and established the electronics department together with the radio major of the physics department. The Department of Electronics formally established a computer major, specifically, the major of computing technology, and enrolled students 1978. (Before that, I once recruited two "workers, peasants and soldiers" college students, including 50-60 students. ). Teacher Zhang Yuming, one of the founders of computer science, was then the deputy director of the Department of Electronics, in charge of computer science related work. At that time, there were more than ten backbone teachers, including Xie Yuxian, Wu Xiufeng, Zou Guangran, Meng Yun, Ye Xinming, and Akil. After Mr. Zhang Yuming was transferred from 65438 to 0984, Mr. Xie Yuxian served as the deputy director of computer science.
Department of Computer Science (1988 ——1997)
1in the autumn of 988, with the approval of the government of the autonomous region, the computer major was separated from the electronic department and the computer department was established separately, realizing the long-cherished wish of the older generation of computer teachers. The first dean was Mr. Wu Xiufeng, the vice president was Mr. Duan Zeng, and Mr. Bai Jingshan was transferred from the Department of Mathematics as the general branch secretary. 1In June 1990, the school transferred Comrade Zhang Rongjun to the Department of Computer Science as the vice president of administration,1In June 1995, he also served as the deputy secretary of the General Branch. At the beginning of the computer department, although the conditions were simple, it attached great importance to teaching and regarded teaching quality as the foundation of the department. To this end, three measures have been taken. First of all, Mr. Chen Jie, former vice president of our school and professor of mathematics department, was invited to teach young teachers teaching experience. The second is to revise the teaching plan in time and introduce the original foreign textbooks. Third, on-the-job training or introducing a group of master students from abroad as class teachers. These three measures have laid the foundation for running schools from a high starting point and educating people with high quality. /kloc-0 became the examiner of the self-taught examination for computer application major in the autonomous region at the end of 988. At the beginning of 1992, Mr. Ye Xinming served as the director of computer science department after returning to China. At the beginning of 1994, Mr. Chen Lun was transferred as the deputy director of the Academic Affairs Office, and Mr. Gao was the deputy director in charge of teaching. At the same time, the school's computing center was merged into the Computer Department, and Mr. Zhang Yuping served as the vice president and director of the computing center. 1995 the network center was established with Mr. Ye Xinming as the director. Taking two centers and one department as the basic school unit, the basic structure of computer department has been expanded again. The leadership of the new department is changing its concept, seizing the opportunity and making bold innovations. In order to improve the level of running a school, while paying constant attention to teaching, we also pay special attention to scientific research and horizontal development. Through concise scientific research direction and cohesive discipline team, the specialties such as network, distributed system and Mongolian information processing, led by teachers Ye Xinming and Oqir, have gradually formed certain advantages. After two years of hard work, the application for the master's degree in computer application technology was approved on 1993, which is the first master's degree in computer science in the autonomous region. Taking this as a new starting point, the discipline construction, scientific research and teaching, and personnel training of the computer department have entered the track of rapid development. Make one new achievement after another. Ye Xinming and Aqeel were promoted to professorships in 1994 and 1995 respectively. 1994 and 1996 added two undergraduate majors, computer software and management information system, to the computer application major.
3. School of Computer Science (1997-)
In order to adapt to the rapid development of national higher education, the Computer College of Inner Mongolia University was established on June 6th 1997 with the approval of the government of the autonomous region. College consists of computer science department, network center, computing center and several research rooms (institutes) in the department. The first president of the college is Mr. Wang, the vice president is Mr. Gao, and the director of the computing center is Mr. Su Linying (deputy director level). At the end of 1997, Comrade Zhang Rongjun was changed from deputy secretary and deputy director of the General Party Branch to secretary of the General Party Branch, and Mr. Wu was the new vice president and director of the network center. Comrade Cui Jian is the deputy director of the Computer Department. After Mr. Su Linying went abroad in 2000, Mr. Wang Junyi was appointed as the director of the Computing Center. 1998 the Ministry of education adjusted the catalogue of undergraduate majors. The original three undergraduate majors were changed to two majors, namely computer science and technology, information management and information system, and the e-commerce major was added in 200 1. At the same time, a master's degree in computer software and theory was added in 2000, and a master's degree in computer system structure, management science and engineering was added in 2003. So far, the college has four master's programs. 1999, Mr. Gao was promoted to professor, in 2000, Mr. Liu and Mr. Wu were also promoted to professor in 20001year, and then another teacher, Mr. Duan Chanlun, was promoted to professor in 2002, and in 2003, Liu, Xu and Liu Shi were promoted to professor. In 2002, the college moved from the main building to the science building, and the research and teaching room and environment were greatly improved. In 2006, the network center moved to the new site of the network conference center.
From June to February, 2003, the college leadership was adjusted. Mr. Gao is the president of Computer College, Mr. Wu is the vice president and director of network center, Mr. Wei Fengqi is the director of computer department, and Mr. Wang is the director of computing center. Comrade Zhang Rongjun still serves as the general party branch secretary of the college. In June 2004, the college applied for a master's degree in computer technology engineering, which was approved by the State Council Academic Degree Office, making Neida a master's school in engineering. In June, 2004, 5438+February, the network protocol engineering and intelligent information processing laboratory of our hospital was rated as the key laboratory of the autonomous region. In order to expand the ability to run a school, in 2005, the Software College of Inner Mongolia University was announced to be established, and the Computer College took two brands as entities. From June 5th to February, 2005, the major of computer science and technology was awarded as a brand major at the autonomous region level. We are proud that the doctoral program of computer application technology was approved in June 5438+ 10, 2006, which is the first doctoral program of information science in the autonomous region, marking the advanced level of computer science in Inner Mongolia University. In the same year, professors, professors and professors were rated as doctoral supervisors. In May 2006, the Master of Engineering in the field of software engineering was approved again. In June, 2006, 165438+ 10, the computer laboratory was rated as an experimental demonstration center at the autonomous region level. In 2004, two teachers, Jia Bo and Wen Li, were promoted to professors. In 2006, Mr. Ma Haohai was also promoted to professors, and a number of young academic leaders emerged in the college. Teaching and scientific research, discipline construction and teaching staff construction are full of vitality.
Looking back at the history, I feel that great changes have taken place in all aspects of the development of computers in Inner Mongolia University in the past 30 years, especially in the past ten years since the establishment of Computer College. There are 1 doctoral program, 1 first-class discipline master program, 4 master programs in two disciplines, 2 degree authorization programs in engineering field, and 4 undergraduate programs in discipline and specialty construction. The quality of undergraduate and master's education has improved significantly. The scale of running a school is five times that of the department when it was founded. There are nearly 1000 engineering undergraduates, and more than 300 masters and masters. Among more than 50 in-service teachers, there are professors 1 1, nearly 30 associate high school titles, 3 doctoral tutors and 25 master tutors. In the past ten years, the scientific research strength of the college has also been significantly enhanced, and the research level has been greatly improved. He has successively undertaken two national 863 projects, more than one national natural science foundation project 10, five national key scientific and technological projects 1, and five major provincial and ministerial-level key scientific and technological projects, and won five provincial and ministerial-level scientific and technological progress awards. It has formed a scientific research direction with distinctive regional and ethnic characteristics, and its overall strength ranks among the top 50 similar majors in key universities across the country.
