The real life and experience of studying at Harvard University.
Regardless of the actual conditions, every party going abroad has a Harvard dream in mind. For many students, "Harvard" is like a key word full of spiritual food. And what is the life of those who are admitted to this school? Look at the log below!

First, the daily study of Harvard University

Last semester, I took four standard academic courses

There will be some courses that need to write papers, so I spend most of my time reading books and writing papers. Then in the last few weeks, your busy state will double. Why? Unfortunately, because I have to hand in my homework.

In general, the first three days of the week are relatively relaxed and happy. My classes are all scheduled for Thursday. What kind of day is this? Feel for yourself. Then on Friday, it was released freely.

I roughly summed it up: a week, the time for attending classes is 12 and a half hours, and the time for honestly staying in the classroom is 12 hours. It takes about 30 to 40 hours to finish a mid-term homework that can be done at home, about 10 hours to finish the rest of the course, and more than 10 hours to read after class.

Then, if there is a midterm in any week, you will be overwhelmed by a mountain of homework.

If it is a relaxing week, the class time may be only 20 to 30 hours or less.

Second, Harvard University is rich in extracurricular activities.

Especially participated in five extracurricular activities this week. They are:

Contribute to the magazine website. Her website is suitable for college girls to read online. Because I plan to publish an article on this website next week, I finished writing an article called "Seven things I learned in my sophomore year" this week. I also attended the Sunday party arranged with my friends. Every Sunday, we share some interesting ball games and delicious snacks.

Attend university committee meetings. That sounds great, right? Actually, this is a university committee organized by students. Although I can't attend the rescheduled board meeting on Monday, I can still attend the Committee meeting on Thursday, the social meeting on Friday and the normal board meeting on Sunday night.

Joining a ball club is an entertainment activity. In the club, we can practice hockey and play basketball. But I chose one of the sports that I need to take the exam (guess which one? )

Founded Harvard consulting company. This consulting company aims to provide a platform for high school graduates from all over the world to apply for universities, and students can also get some resources and information from it. Sometimes I get calls from several prospective students, mainly to answer their questions in the application process and give them some guidance. At the same time, it will also deal with some background work that makes the whole consulting company work normally (startups are really hard! )

Contribute to Harvard political website. Harvard Political Review is a non-partisan political quarterly. At that time, I was engaged in venture capital research and wrote an article "From Silicon to Gold: Harvard Venture Capital".

Before and now, in order to get some new information, I participated in many community activities at school, including formal work and internship, social parties, some pre-service education organizations, intellectual dinner groups and so on. Generally speaking, every semester you will choose the club you want to join according to your interests. But Harvard students usually only join a few clubs (1 3), work hard and play the role of leaders, so that they naturally have the leadership ability that ordinary students lack.

Third, Harvard University has a busy social life.

In retrospect, I usually have eight meals with my friends (I will set aside eight meals to eat with my friends). Four of them were just for me, and the other four dinners were sometimes changed to the next week. Usually I only eat two meals a day. I prefer to eat with my friends, but if I am in a hurry, I won't eat.

If I encounter some unplanned social activities, I won't do it, sometimes because I always try my best to fulfill my previous commitments. Sometimes I miss it because I have to prepare for some midterm exams. However, there is one exception that has impressed me so far. It was on a Saturday night, and I attended a dance party. Do you want to know why I went? Haha ~ I want to support my best friend!

From Friday to Saturday, I plan to attend 8 parties. The four of them, I'm just a participant. In order to decompress myself, I will go out to play twice a week, otherwise, I may go crazy.

I also stayed up many nights, sometimes until I could watch the sunrise directly through the window ... but I remember one weekend I tried to stay up late at work in the cafeteria, but I met a friend and talked until 5 am.

No matter how busy I am, I always remind myself to leave some time for people I care about and care about in my life. When I fondly recall my lost college life, these are my most cherished moments.

After reading the daily life of a typical Harvard student, we can understand why the students in famous American schools generally lack sleep, because we can only choose between study, social interaction and sleep, and both study and social interaction are indispensable, so the only thing that can be sacrificed is sleep; I understand why Harvard has a tradition of streaking, because it really needs a way to decompress; I also understand why Harvard can get the first place in the rankings, because the students here are full of ideals and strive for them; Why do so many people list Harvard as their ideal school? Because dealing with excellent people will make you better.
