The postgraduate dormitory of Tibet University for Nationalities is a standard 4-person room, including a separate bathroom, and the network is good. Known as the cradle of ethnic minority cadres, it has trained nearly 40 provincial and ministerial leading cadres for the motherland.

Tibet University for Nationalities, located in Xianyang, the ancient capital beside the Weihe River, is one of the first units approved by the State Council to confer bachelor's degrees. It is a university founded by the People's Government of Xizang Autonomous Region and the State Committee for Ethnic and Religious Affairs.

This school is the first institution of higher learning established in the Mainland by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China after the peaceful liberation of Tibet.

As of September 20 17, the school has two campuses, namely acropolis and Qin and Han dynasties, and has established a practical teaching base in Lhasa, with a campus area of 1 149 mu. There are 977 faculty members and students 10042, including 537 graduate students and 50% Tibetan and other minority students.

As the lead unit, the school established the "Collaborative Innovation Center for Tibetan Cultural Heritage and Development" in conjunction with China Renmin University, Sun Yat-sen University, China Tibetology Research Center and Tibet Academy of Social Sciences.
