Jinan University is located at No.601Huangpu Avenue West, Tianhe District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. It is the first overseas Chinese university founded by the state in China and a university directly under the central government.

The development of Jinan University;

In the thirty-second year of Guangxu (1906), Duan Fang, then governor of the two rivers, wrote to Emperor Guangxu, requesting permission for "expatriates from Nanyang Islands, Honolulu and San Francisco" to return to Nanjing to study. After preparation, the school site was chosen in Miaoxiang Temple in Xue Jia Lane, Nanjing.

It is located in the center of Nanjing, south of the Drum Tower, north of the Zen Building, and adjacent to Jinling University in the northwest. On March 23rd, 1907, Jinan School officially opened. The first batch of students are 2 1, all returned overseas Chinese students from Java, most of whom are from Guangdong.

On August 28th, 1907, Pan Lizhai, director of Batavia Chinese Club, accompanied by Liang, 10 overseas Chinese students came to Nanjing to study. 1908 In May, the third batch of 46 overseas Chinese students from Nanyang Islands arrived in Guangzhou, the Nanjing headquarters of Jinan University.
