North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power, referred to as "Huashui", is located in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. It is a key university with characteristics in Henan Province, which is jointly established by the Ministry of Water Resources and Henan Province and mainly managed by Henan Province. It is the leading unit of China University of BRICS Network University, a member of BRICS University Alliance and a member of China-Russia Jiaotong University Alliance. It is the first batch of national master's degree and doctor's degree awarding units, and has been selected into the excellent engineer education and training plan of the Ministry of Education, the basic capacity building project of central and western universities, the excellent agricultural and forestry personnel education and training plan, the postgraduate independent enrollment qualification, and the high-level talent plan of ethnic minorities. The Water Research and Training Center of the Ministry of Water Resources and the Open Education Office of the TV University of the Ministry of Water Resources are located in the school.
In the early days of the founding of New China, Fu Yu 195 1, then Minister of Water Resources, presided over the establishment of the school's predecessor, the Beijing Water Conservancy School of the Ministry of Water Resources.
1951September 15, the Water Conservancy School of the Ministry of Water Resources of the Central People's Government officially opened in Beijing, and the school is located in Fuchengmen (now Kang Min Hutong) Inspection Department Hall 10.
1In September, 953, Beijing Water Conservancy School moved into the new school building of garden village in the western suburbs of Beijing (the former North China Institute of Water Conservancy and Hydropower was located in graduate department, Beijing).
1954, the school was renamed Beijing Water Conservancy School.
