Brief Introduction of Graduate School of Beijing Foreign Studies University
Beijing Foreign Studies University began to recruit graduate students in the mid-1950s, and by1965 * *, 65 students from Beijing Foreign Studies University had been enrolled for training and research. From the resumption of postgraduate enrollment in 1978 to June 2008, Beijing Foreign Studies University has awarded 226 doctoral degrees and 29 master's degrees. At present, the number of graduate students in school is 1497. Many top-notch doctoral and master students trained by Beijing Foreign Studies University stand out, many of whom have become the backbone of all fronts of the country, and some have also held ministerial leadership positions (such as former Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing, former Vice Minister of Finance and now Vice President of the Asian Development Bank Jin Liqun). They have made important contributions to China's economic construction, social development, diplomatic career and ideological and cultural exchanges and research at home and abroad.
