Hainan University has two horticulture majors. Another major is horticulture (flower and landscape design), mainly studying botany, plant physiology and biochemistry, horticultural plant breeding, soil fertilization, biostatistics, horticultural plant pest control, horticultural plant cultivation, ornamental dendrology, ornamental flower science, artistic basis, garden design, horticultural plant biotechnology, horticultural product storage and marketing, and facility gardening. To cultivate the basic theories and skills of biology and horticulture.
