What does an architect do?
Designing a building requires at least four kinds of engineers.

The first step is the architect, who is responsible for the appearance, function and plane elevation layout of the building, that is to say, the building we most intuitively see and feel. The architect's job is to draw a sketch of the building first. In this process, it is necessary to have a hand-drawn foundation, and the requirements for painting are not particularly high. However, to be able to express one's intention, architectural expression is the language and way of architects, owners and other people who accept architecture. After all, the building is in the architect's heart, and others can't see it without his drawings. To be an architect, the major you need to apply for is architecture, which belongs to the humanities. In fact, it has nothing to do with technology, but is closer to art, so architects are actually artists in a sense. Don't rely on art to apply for architecture, you need to submit one of your own works of art.

The first job an architect does is to make a plan, which is a general concept of architecture. When this concept is recognized and the owner says so, the second job is needed, that is, the construction drawing. Building construction drawings are mainly drawn by computers, and drawings that can be used for construction operations are drawn according to drawing specifications. Work needs to understand the norms of architectural design, the requirements of owners and so on. Architects are also divided, some focus on making plans, and some focus on drawing construction drawings. All designers are great architects, such as I.M. Pei Koolhaas, whose name we all know. Drawing construction drawings is rather obscure. Architects are generally divided into these two roads after entering the business. Planning by taking the route of talent and creativity depends on inspiration and talent. If the scheme can be accepted, the winner will be the candidate of the dean in the future, or start his own business. Architects who draw construction drawings need to be familiar with some knowledge of structural equipment, because in the construction drawing stage, there is not only an architectural specialty, but also structural equipment, and architects are often easily selected as project leaders and project managers. As an architect who draws construction drawings, the way to get rid of heavy physical labor is to climb to the project manager and lead the project process. The income is 3,000-5,000 when you enter the business, but as long as you have a job in the architectural design industry, you can basically buy your own luxury goods without counting your income after one year. The specific situation is somewhat inconvenient to disclose.

The completion of architectural design needs subsequent processes, and the second or most important thing is the structural engineer. Structural engineer is a major in architectural engineering. His role is to actually build a building, subdivide it into a beam and a column, and make the architectural concept a structure that can be really established. The architect is responsible for the skin, and the structural engineer is responsible for the skeleton of the building. The work of a structural engineer is the hardest and the workload is the biggest. It takes you the most time to complete the work, and the responsibility is also the most important. It's not safe to do it small, and it's a big waste. It's often bad at both ends. Any other major has changed, and finally the structure will also change. And the change of the structure itself is also a whole. The income of structural engineers in the same unit is generally not more than that of architects. There are two reasons: first, the output value of redundant structure is divided; Second, the same engineering structure needs to do more work, and everyone's working hours are the same, so it is impossible for structural engineers to take on more projects than architects. There is another reason. There is no general explanation, and it is often that students majoring in architecture prefer their own majors.

From the outside, they are all engaged in architecture, but architects and architects are completely two majors, and basically can't transfer to each other.

The following are equipment engineers, mainly majoring in water supply and drainage and electrical engineering. There is no need to explain this, except for the HVAC major. These are collectively referred to as equipment engineers. Generally, it is easy to be ignored, but teachers are indispensable in practical work. Because of the unpopularity, the work of equipment engineers is actually more popular, and the work pressure intensity is not as good as the above two. For the same working hours, equipment engineers earn the most.

What if I personally give advice to the younger generation?

Learn architecture if you like to create, but be prepared to take the ordinary road. Not everyone can be a master. As an ordinary project manager, the design institute has a medium level.

Be practical, study architectural engineering and be a structural designer. Although it is a little hard and the return is not great, there is room for development. It is infinite to supervise or contract construction projects for Party A in the future, because this major is the core.

Shortcut, major in electrical engineering and HVAC, so that you can find a job. When looking for a job, no matter who has a private job, you have to take it. There are only a few pictures in the work, and each project is divided into small pieces, and every little makes a mickle.

Let's stop talking about time relations. I hope I can give you useful knowledge. You can ask questions again.
