Wu Dan (Wu Dan,1909 65438+1October 22-1974 65438+1October 25) was born in Bandano, Myanmar, and was educated in Bandano National Middle School and University College in Yangon. From 196 1 to 197 1 served as the third secretary-general of the United nations.
Before entering the diplomatic circle, Wu Dan worked in education and journalism. He used to be a high school teacher in his alma mater, Bandano National Middle School. After winning the first place in the English-speaking middle school teacher qualification examination, he was promoted to the principal in 193 1.
Before World War II, he was a member of Myanmar Textbook Committee and State Education Committee, and also a member of the Executive Committee of the Federation of Primary and Secondary School Principals. In addition, he is an active freelance journalist.
From 65438 to 0942, Wu Dan served as secretary of Myanmar Education Reorganization Committee for several months. The following year, he returned to the national middle school and became the principal for another four years.
From 65438 to 0947, Wu Dan was appointed as the information director of Myanmar government, and was appointed as the secretary of the information department of Myanmar government the following year.
