The establishment of Hosei University can be traced back to the Tokyo Law Society, which was established in 1880. It is the earliest private law school in Japan. 1920 was renamed Hosei University with a history of 135. 1 This school is known as one of the five famous schools in Tokyo in March (M Meiji University, A Aoyama College University, R Rikkyo University, C Central University, H Hosei University). One of the 37 schools selected by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (similar to the 2 1 1 985 plan implemented in China to enhance the international reputation of universities). The school's law department and sociology department have a long history and are the first private universities in Japan to offer these two departments. Its predecessor, Tokyo Law School (now Hosei University), is one of the five law schools in Meiji, and it ranks with specialized schools (now specialized universities), Meiji Law School (now Meiji University), Tokyo Specialized School (now Waseda University) and British Law School (now Central University). 1950 established the engineering department and officially became a comprehensive university. At the same time, the school cooperates with Japan Airlines, which is the most influential comprehensive university in Japan specializing in training pilots. The school also formed the "Tokyo Six University Baseball League" with Keio University, Tokyo University, Meiji University, Rikkyo University and Waseda University.
