Central South Institute of Technology: Hengyang Institute of Mining and Metallurgy Engineering, 1959 was founded in early March, 1979 was renamed Hengyang Institute of Technology, and 1993 was renamed Central South Institute of Technology again. Hengyang Institute of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering, the predecessor of Central South Institute of Technology, was once the first uranium mining and metallurgical university in China.
Hengyang Medical College: Formerly known as Hengyang Medical College of Hunan Province, it was established in 1958. 1962 was renamed Hengyang Medical College, and 1977 was renamed Hengyang Medical College again. Hengyang Medical College was once the second largest medical force in Hunan Province and the first university of ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology in China.
The Sixth Research Institute of Nuclear Industry: 1962 Nanchang Mining Research Institute, 1972 was renamed as Research Institute of No.2 and No.4 Institute of Machinery, and 1988 was renamed as Hunan Mining Research Institute. It is the only uranium mining and metallurgy research institution in China.
