Entrepreneurial passion must be protected.

Wu Xiaohong (Director, Student Affairs Office, Zhongshan College, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China): We support college students to start businesses without affecting their studies. Some students with strong self-awareness choose to start a business in order to prove their ability, realize their self-worth and gain social recognition in this way. On the one hand, entrepreneurship is conducive to broadening the employment channels of college students and alleviating their employment difficulties; On the other hand, it can also give full play to the advantages of young, flexible, passionate and creative college students. These entrepreneurial experiences will also provide advantages for future employment.

College students have learned a lot of theoretical things in school and have high-level technical advantages, but there is a big gap between theory and practice, and some college students' employment concepts are too idealistic. By starting a business, college students can learn about the outside world, get in touch with society early, improve their abilities and gain experience. When starting a business, college students must put an end to impetuous thoughts, start from a down-to-earth age, and carefully consider when choosing entrepreneurial projects to reduce risks. We hope that college students will think more rationally after being honed, so it is necessary for us to protect their entrepreneurial passion and guide them to develop in a healthy direction.

It is not enough to start a business with interest.

He (Student of Electronic Communication Department, Zhongshan College, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, President of Innovation Association): It is completely feasible for college students to start their own businesses. Nowadays, college students can no longer rely on their parents and schools. They should take the initiative to look for opportunities, so as to prepare for future employment and not delay their studies at this stage. I have been practicing entrepreneurship, but I also require myself to get at least a third-class scholarship every semester.

College students' entrepreneurship largely stems from their hobbies, and with interest, they have motivation. However, the interest in entrepreneurship is not enough. As the saying goes, if you don't fight unprepared, you must first understand the market. Last year, my master elder brother and I participated in the National College Students Entrepreneurship Competition. Because the cost budget was neglected when designing the scheme, it was not shortlisted.

Entrepreneurship needs rationality rather than impulsiveness, and entrepreneurship needs calmness rather than fanaticism. College students are not interested in starting a business. Knowing your major doesn't mean you can do it overnight. You can make money when you start a company. As a college student with investment experience, I feel that I must have an in-depth observation of the industry market and a deep understanding of society and mass consumption. Changing from a hobby to a career is a "painful" process.

The main business of students is learning.

Yao Xiaobo (Senior Lecturer of zhongshan polytechnic Student Team Leader): College students are still at the age of long knowledge and long body, and they are not fully mature physically and psychologically, so they can't bear all kinds of pressures of starting a business. It's very important for college students to study hard when sharpening their knives. Entrepreneurship can be said to be a manifestation of quick success and instant benefit, and should not be advocated.

Starting a business at school will inevitably take up study time. Parents send their children to school for the purpose of learning knowledge, not making money. If college students fail to invest and start a business, it will increase the burden on their parents. We only advocate that students use the winter and summer vacations to carry out social practice, understand the society first and lay the foundation for future employment. University is not the best stage of starting a business. Cheng (parents of senior students): College students are still growing up in the cradle of their families, lacking social experience, often blindly optimistic, and do not have the psychological conditions for starting a business; Students' knowledge is limited to the classroom, lacking social relations. In this case, it is conceivable that they encounter more difficulties in starting a business than others. Many college students naturally idealize entrepreneurship when they see successful examples of celebrities; They are unprepared for setbacks and failures in starting a business. From these aspects, we can see that young college students are often irrational and not the best investment stage. After graduation, college students should work as interns in large enterprises for several years, accumulate the first bucket of gold, and learn the management and financial knowledge of some large companies to lay the foundation for their own entrepreneurship, so that the chances of success in entrepreneurship are high.

The entrepreneurial atmosphere has not yet formed.

Ye Mao (student of bioengineering department, Sun Yat-sen College, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China): I had entered the society for more than two years before I went to college and accumulated some social experience. I think entrepreneurship itself is a profession, which provides me with a broader sky today when employment is generally difficult. Undeniably, there are many problems in college students' entrepreneurship. Subjectively, college students lack social experience and are not sure about the ever-changing market information. Business philosophy is largely an economic theory in books. Objectively speaking, the overall atmosphere of college students' entrepreneurship is not mature, some customers are skeptical about college students' bosses, and college students' business ability has not been recognized by the society. For these problems, government departments should introduce relevant preferential policies, encourage and support youth entrepreneurship, set up support institutions specifically for college students' entrepreneurship, and provide policy advice and technical exchanges.

Personal entrepreneurship should be gradual.

Wang Jinhong (Associate Professor, Department of Economics and Management, zhongshan polytechnic): What college students call "entrepreneurship" can only be regarded as "social practice" strictly speaking. Although students have mastered some book knowledge, they lack the necessary practical ability and management experience. In addition, because college students lack sufficient knowledge of market, marketing, target market and competitors, it is difficult for them to play the role of investors in the process of starting a business except on paper.

There are still some problems in the mentality, technology and capital of college students' entrepreneurship. Many college students fail to start a business because many college students have no "risk awareness" and sense of responsibility, and do not expect to be responsible for the company, employees and investors. At the same time, they ignore the ability of technological innovation. As a college student, there is no solid material foundation and limited funds. They only invest in intangible assets such as patents, professional technology or high-tech achievements, and most entrepreneurs are transformed from technicians to managers and operators. Therefore, college students should focus on their own majors during their school days, so that they can have professional and technical advantages in their future entrepreneurship. For startups that are still in the early stage, it is necessary to temporarily give up some immediate interests and introduce some truly powerful investors who can provide value-added services and are unified with the entrepreneurial concept, and these requirements are beyond the ability of college students.

■ Preferential policies for college students' entrepreneurship

In recent years, in order to support college students' entrepreneurship, governments at all levels have introduced many preferential policies, involving financing, business opening, taxation, entrepreneurship training, entrepreneurship guidance and many other aspects. According to the relevant regulations of the state and the Shanghai Municipal Government, the fresh college graduates in Shanghai can enjoy four preferential policies, including free risk assessment, free policy training, free loan guarantee and partial tax relief, including:

■ College graduates (including junior college students, undergraduates and graduate students) who are engaged in self-employment shall be exempted from self-employment registration fee, self-employment management fee and economic contract demonstration text cost within 1 year from the date of approval of business. In addition, if you start an informal enterprise, you only need to register in the street of your district and county, and you can be tax-free for 3 years.

■ College students who start their own businesses can apply for a loan guarantee of up to 70,000 yuan from the bank and enjoy a loan discount.

■ Shanghai has set up a special entrepreneurship education and training center for recent college graduates to provide free project risk assessment and guidance for college students to help them better grasp market opportunities.
