In September 1984 and 12, Jordan was selected by Chicago Bulls in the NBA draft of 1984, ranking third in the league, ahead of Olajuwon and sam bowie respectively.
Jordan's rookie season averaged 28.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists, won the title of rookie of the year and was selected as the second team of NBA. Jordan averaged 29.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 8.5 assists in the playoffs, but the team 1:3 lost to Milwaukee Bucks and was eliminated.
