1, Sichuan Normal University (SICNU), located in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, is one of the first batch of key universities in the national "Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in the Midwest". It is the first provincial key university in Sichuan Province to hold undergraduate normal education, and it is also the oldest normal university.

Chengdu University of Arts and Sciences, referred to as "Chengdu University of Arts and Sciences", is a full-time undergraduate institution of higher learning approved by the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Education, located at Xuefu Avenue, Jintang County, Chengdu, Sichuan Province. The school was established in April 1999. In 2004, the School of Cultural Communication of Sichuan Normal University and the International Business School of Sichuan Normal University merged into the College of Arts and Sciences of Sichuan Normal University, which was approved as an independent college by the Ministry of Education.
