During the period of studying in school, all the interest generated by the national student loan will be subsidized by the special discount funds arranged by the financial department, and will be distributed quarterly by the National Student Financial Assistance Management Center. After graduation, the borrower pays all the interest generated by the national student loan on a monthly basis, starting from the first interest settlement date after graduation.

Borrowing students who do not continue to pursue their degrees in the year of graduation will choose the grace period to repay the loan principal and interest according to their employment situation and income level, that is, they will start to repay the loan principal and interest in any month within 60 months after graduation. Specific matters shall be applied to the handling bank by the graduating borrowing students when they go through the repayment confirmation procedures, and shall be examined and approved by the handling bank. Students who borrow money during the grace period only need to repay the interest, not the loan principal.
