Shanxi University, located in Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi Province, is an ancient cultural capital with a history of more than 2,500 years. Its predecessor was Shanxi University Hall, which was founded in 1902. Its long history can be traced back to Li San Academy in Ming Dynasty, Jinyang Academy and Lingde Academy in Qing Dynasty.
