Household registration transfer is a convenience measure introduced by the Ministry of Public Security in 2003. According to the current regulations, every student admitted to a university can transfer his/her household registration from home to school at the beginning of his/her enrollment.

The transfer of household registration is voluntary, and students can choose to transfer or not. Students with the school's hukou will either settle in the place where their employment unit is located according to the school's "dispatch" after completing their studies; Either unemployed, you can enter the talent market where the school is located through personal application. If you don't settle down in the talent market, your account will be returned to your place of origin.

The process of transferring to university registration.

1. Go to the local police station for transfer formalities with the admission notice and my household registration book (or ID card). After the police station has passed the examination, give me a certificate of household registration transfer.

2. When freshmen report for duty, they shall pay the household registration certificate and ID card processing fee at the designated place.

3. Take photos at the school ID card photo point.

According to the notice of the security office, the monitor of each college or class goes to the household registration room of the security office to get a new ID card.

5. Get a new card and return the old ID card. Precautions for college students to settle down after moving into their household registration: required materials: household registration certificate, household registration certificate or certificate of not settling down, college degree or above, and ID card.
