Introduction to Jianghan Art Vocational College Jianghan Art Vocational College is a public full-time ordinary institution of higher learning approved by the Hubei Provincial People's Government in 2004 and put on record by the Ministry of Education. Formerly known as Hubei Qianjiang Art Normal School, it was founded in 1959. The College is located in Qianjiang City, Hubei Province, which is known as "Cao Yu's hometown, Jianghan Oil City, water garden and lobster hometown", covering an area of 507 mu (338,000 square meters), with a school building area of 6,543,800 square meters and a collection of 500,000 books.
The college has eight teaching departments, including the Conservatory of Music, the School of Design, the School of Preschool Education, the School of Management, the School of Performing Arts, the School of Food Culture, the School of Continuing Education, and the Secondary School, with 7,800 students. There are 390 faculty members, 2 doctors, 92 masters, 86 professors and associate professors, and 40 well-known artists and education experts as part-time teachers.
