Suzhou University is a national key construction university, 2 1 1 project, and a provincial key comprehensive university in Jiangsu Province. There are 28 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points, 1 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points, 5 1 first-level discipline master degree authorization points, 24 professional master degree authorization points and 29 postdoctoral mobile stations. Suzhou University has developed into a local comprehensive university with twelve disciplines, such as philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management and art, with a considerable scale, a solid foundation, remarkable school-running benefits and a certain reputation at home and abroad.

The Ministry of Health currently has five colleges, three clinical medical colleges and nine research institutes, including the College of Basic Medicine and Biological Sciences, the College of Radiation and Protection, the College of Public Health, the College of Pharmacy and the College of Nursing. There are more than 3,000 graduate students, nearly 5,000 full-time undergraduates and more than 500 foreign students.
