This is a rumor.

Allergies are rashes, itching and sneezing, which come and go quickly. No big deal. My family is allergic, so bear with it. There is no need to go to the hospital for examination.

Rumors:

Allergy is an allergic reaction of the body. After being stimulated by the same antigen, the body will produce abnormal or pathological immune response. Allergens can be ingested or inhaled. Common allergic diseases in children, the target organs are concentrated in three systems: respiratory tract, digestive tract and skin. Although only one system has pathological changes in clinic, in most cases, multiple systems will be involved, so the condition is more complicated and needs attention.

1. Skin allergic diseases: eczema, urticaria, drug dermatitis, contact dermatitis.

Eczema-erythema, papules, blisters, erosion, exudation, crusting and desquamation, pigmentation and severe itching can be seen locally or all over the body.

Urticaria-occurs under cold or heat stimulation, pathogen infection, fatigue and other incentives. It is characterized by sudden severe itching or burning sensation on the skin, and massive edema air masses of different sizes and limitations quickly appear in the affected area.

Drug dermatitis-western medicine allergy is more common, such as penicillin, and some components in traditional Chinese medicine can also be used as allergens, such as Houttuynia cordata Thunb. The main manifestations are erythema, purpura, blisters and loose epidermis, itching and pain, and severe cases are exudative erythema multiforme, and the disease progresses rapidly. Contact dermatitis-refers to skin contact with certain substances, resulting in local erythema, edema, itching and pain, and in severe cases, blisters, peeling and other phenomena.

2. Respiratory allergic diseases: allergic rhinitis and allergic asthma.

Allergic rhinitis-typical symptoms are paroxysmal continuous sneezing, a lot of watery nose and stuffy nose, and the severity of each attack varies.

Allergic asthma-inhaling allergens such as cold air, pollen and dust mites. Through a series of reactions, wheezing symptoms appear. If not treated in time, severe asthma or asthma status can be fatal.

3. Allergic diseases of digestive tract: mainly manifested as food allergy.

The main manifestations are gastrointestinal symptoms, vomiting, diarrhea, gastrointestinal spasm and so on. , but often combined with skin, respiratory tract, shock and other manifestations.

4. Anaphylactic shock

Anaphylactic shock is a common clinical critical disease, which refers to a strong systemic allergic reaction, and its symptoms include blood pressure drop, rash, laryngeal edema, dyspnea and so on.

The child is allergic. Did you do the right thing?

In the cognitive concept of most parents, allergies will not endanger children's lives, especially after watching many funny movies. Allergy means that the mouth swells like a sausage and then disappears automatically without special treatment.

Actually, it's not. Allergies are different. Mild allergies are generally not life-threatening, but severe allergies can still endanger children's lives.

If children are allergic, you need to do this:

1. Find and remove allergens.

For children with frequent allergies, parents need to keep a good record of their lives and find out the allergens. The best way is to take your child for antibody test and skin test. Patients with dust mite allergy should always clean the bedding, dry and expose to the sun, pay attention to opening the window and ventilation, and clean up moldy items in time; Patients with pollen allergy should go out less and avoid strenuous exercise; Pet allergy patients should avoid pets entering the bedroom; People who are allergic to food need to look for sensitized food and avoid eating allergic food.

2. Drug therapy

Take the child to the hospital for formal treatment, and give the child antihistamines, membrane stabilizers, epinephrine, corticosteroids and other drugs. And specific desensitization treatment was given to children with allergens within the scope of adaptation.

3. Treatment of severely allergic children

Parents of children with severe allergies should immediately remove foreign bodies in the airway, keep the airway unobstructed, and immediately call an ambulance or send them to the hospital. Parents usually need to learn to master cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and perform CPR when the child has stopped breathing but the ambulance has not arrived, in order to race against time.
