Mao Yuanxin's father-daughter relationship began to change from helping her daughter learn. Considering the future life independence of the deaf-mute, Mao Yuanxin used his spare time to guide his daughter to learn art, and taught her sketch, gouache and perspective by hand. After graduating from junior high school, Lily was admitted to the art class of Shanghai Deaf-mute Youth Technical School. 1996 the Mao Yuanxin family moved into a new house allocated by the Shanghai municipal government. The salary in Maoyuanxin has gradually increased from 1993 in 600 yuan to 200 1 1600 yuan.
