Yulin university, located in Yulin City, Shaanxi Province, is a provincial-level undergraduate college focusing on engineering, with the coordinated development of engineering, management, literature, science, agriculture and law. It is the northernmost institution of higher learning in Shaanxi Province and the only provincial undergraduate institution in Yulin. The school was formerly the Fourth Normal School of Shaanxi Province, which was founded in 1923. 1958 was renamed Suide Branch of Xi Normal University, and 1978 was renamed Yulin Professional Branch of Shaanxi Normal University. In the early 1980s, it moved northward to Xisha, Yulin, and 19 1 merged with Yulin Agriculture and Forestry College to form Yulin College.

Yulin university is the only provincial undergraduate college in Yulin. In 20 18, the school was determined by the Ministry of Education as an authorized unit for adding a master's degree, and was determined by Shaanxi Province as a first-class application-oriented undergraduate college construction unit.
