The Department of Burn Plastic Surgery in the Affiliated Hospital of Medical College of Qinghai University is a famous department in Qinghai Province with provincial medical characteristics. At present, there are 14 professional technicians, and 3 doctors with deputy senior titles or above have gone to Japan, Sweden, the United States and other places to specialize in burn plastic surgery. The department has 20 open beds and has advanced medical equipment such as electric peeling knife, intravenous oxygen delivery instrument, air purifier and multifunctional peeling machine. The first allogenic skin bank in the province has been built, which has treated more than 6,000 patients with various types of burn and plastic surgery, with a cure rate of over 98%. Dozens of patients with burn area of 90%, 100% and third-degree burn area of 80% have been successfully rescued. The application of abdominal axial flap in the early repair of deep electric burn of hand, the application of skin expander in the repair of soft tissue defect, vaginal reconstruction with pudendal thigh flap and other new technologies are at the leading level in China. Research projects such as epidermal cell transplantation for burn treatment, collagen extraction, film formation and application have won provincial scientific research achievements and scientific and technological progress awards.
