Tibet University is a comprehensive university affiliated to Xizang Autonomous Region and a national key construction university under the "2 1 1 Project". 20 13 was listed in the Revitalization Plan of Higher Education in the Midwest, 20 17 was selected as a "double-first-class" university, and 20 18 became a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Xizang Autonomous Region Municipal People's Government.
The history of running a school can be traced back to the training course for Tibetan cadres founded by the troops who entered Tibet in 195 1, and it has gone through the development stages of Tibet Military Region Cadre School, Tibet Local Cadre School and Tibet Administrative Cadre School. 1965 and 1975 schools have been upgraded to Tibet Normal School and Tibet Normal College, creating a precedent for normal education in Tibet. After more than 70 years of construction and development, the school has become a teaching and research-oriented comprehensive university with the characteristics of plateau frontier ethnic areas.
