Southwest University School of Pharmacy was established on April 30th, 2006. It is a newly-built college based on the pharmacy major of the College of Animal Science and Technology of Southwest Agricultural University, the chemistry and pharmacy major of the College of Basic Science and Technology, and the pharmaceutical engineering major of the College of Life Sciences of Southwest Normal University. The faculty structure of the college is reasonable and full of vitality. The college has seven teaching and research sections, including chemical pharmacy, biopharmaceuticals, Chinese pharmacy, pharmacology, pharmaceutical preparations, pharmaceutical analysis and pharmaceutical engineering. With the ninth people's hospital of Chongqing * * * to build a clinical pharmacy teaching and research section, and with the Beibei District Chinese Medicine Hospital of Chongqing * * * to build a pharmaceutical preparation engineering center.
