Four universities recognized by the industry as "the cradle of American diplomats": Foreign Affairs University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Institute of International Relations and PLA Institute of International Relations.

A diplomat is an official who handles foreign affairs. They are usually divided into two categories: domestic foreign Ministry officials and domestic diplomats abroad. 3. Issue diplomatic statements and opinions to foreign governments and organizations, negotiate and negotiate, solve international problems and protect national interests.

4. Handle and coordinate consular and diplomatic protection affairs, protect the interests of nationals and countries, and protect the rights and safety of millions of citizens living and traveling abroad.

5. Coordinate and promote cooperation among countries in the fields of culture, education, tourism, science and technology, trade and investment, strengthen mutual understanding and friendship among people, and improve diplomatic image and national soft power.

6. In case of national emergency or international crisis, release information to the outside world, organize and coordinate aid and rescue work, and protect the lives and property of overseas Chinese.

7. Report and reflect diplomatic information, analyze and evaluate the diplomatic situation and international development trends, and formulate and revise foreign policies and strategies.

8. Visit and establish diplomatic networks, live and work in various countries, understand and learn different cultures and ideas, and provide information services and suggestions for the development of their own countries and international political, economic and social changes.
