Beijing Institute of Technology, 1940 was born in Yan 'an. It is the first science and engineering university founded by China * * * Production Party. New China has been a key university on the national calendar since its founding. It entered the national "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Project" for the first time, and entered the A-class ranks of "world-class universities".

Beijing Institute of Technology, formerly known as the Academy of Natural Sciences, was founded in Yan 'an 1940. After the Shanxi-Chahar-Hebei Border Region Industrial School and North China University Engineering College were successfully established, they were set up in Beijing on 1949, taking over the headquarters of Sino-French University and the three departments of mathematical physics and chemistry. 1952 was named Beijing Institute of Technology, and 1988 was renamed Beijing Institute of Technology.
