The difference between grants and scholarships

Legal basis: According to Article 4 of the Measures for the Administration of National Scholarships, the basic conditions for applying for national scholarships are: 1. Love the socialist motherland and support the leadership of China Producers' Party; Good moral quality; 2. Consciously abide by the Constitution and laws, implement college students' codes and school rules and regulations, and live frugally; 3. Good health; 4. Excellent academic performance during school or excellent results in the national unified college entrance examination; 5. Family financial difficulties.

According to Article 2 of the Measures for the Administration of Student Aid Funds issued by the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Department of Veterans, and the National Defense Mobilization Department of the Central Military Commission, the student aid fund mentioned in these Measures refers to the funds arranged by the central government for the implementation of national student aid policies such as higher education (including undergraduate and postgraduate education), secondary vocational education, and ordinary high school education. Including national scholarships, national inspirational scholarships, academic scholarships, national grants, tuition-free (miscellaneous) subsidy funds, military service national education subsidy funds, grassroots employment tuition compensation funds and national student loan award funds.
