Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU； for short); ; Abbreviation: Jiaotong University, Shanghai Jiaotong University or Shanghai Jiaotong University) is a comprehensive national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, one of the five largest universities in East China, one of the first batch of 7 2 1 1 projects in China, and one of the first batch of 9 985 engineering colleges in China. Its predecessor is one of the oldest universities in modern China.
