By September 2020 1, there will be 2,738 colleges and universities nationwide. Among them, there are 1270 undergraduate colleges, including 2 1 undergraduate vocational schools (see the list of national colleges and universities for details).
Undergraduate course classification:
1. Undergraduate course of general higher education (also known as general undergraduate course and full-time undergraduate course): generally, students are enrolled by means of national unified examination, independent enrollment or walking classes, and full-time teaching lasts for 4-6 years; In addition, recent college graduates can receive undergraduate education through the unified entrance examination for 2 years.
2. Non-unified undergraduate education: Adult higher education corresponding to unified undergraduate education is mainly divided into self-taught undergraduate education, adult college entrance examination, distance education, amateur education and open education. There is no fixed period of study, and there are various learning methods. Students can study in relevant educational institutions or study by themselves.
