Beijing Dance Academy

Located in Beijing, it is a full-time ordinary university with the main task of cultivating high-quality dance talents and studying high-level dance theory and creation. It is the first professional dance school in People's Republic of China (PRC). The school was formerly Beijing Dance School, which was founded in 1954. 1978, with the approval of the State Council, Beijing Dance Academy was formally established, belonging to the Ministry of Culture. It was handed over to Beijing Municipal People's Government in 2000.
