Species classification of kiwifruit
There are 59 species of kiwifruit * * * originating in China, among which Guichang kiwifruit, Golden kiwifruit, Heping 1 kiwifruit, Miliang 1 kiwifruit, Longzang red kiwifruit and red kiwifruit are of great cultivation value in production.

Kiwifruit Guichang

Guichang Kiwifruit grows in xiuwen county, Guizhou Province, with a long history and rich culture. It is located in the middle of Guizhou Province. It is famous all over the world because of the enlightenment of Mr. Wang Yangming, a sage of the Ming Dynasty, and is praised as the holy land of Wang Xue by the world. It belongs to the tropical climate of Central Asia, with mild climate, abundant rainfall, no severe cold in winter and no heat in summer. The altitude of the territory is 1200- 1400m, and the superior climate environment is conducive to the planting and development of Guichang kiwifruit.

Guichang Kiwifruit was grafted from local wild kiwifruit, with an average fruit weight of 70- 100g, cylindrical fruiting body, green flesh, tender meat, rich juice, sweet and refreshing, and moderate sweetness and sourness. Guichang Kiwifruit is known as "Wang Zhongwang" among similar products in China for its high quality. The planting process is completely organic and natural without using any expansion agent from beginning to end.

Yin Yue 2205

Yin Yue 2205, also known as early indica rice, was introduced from Jiangxi on 1984. The branches are light brown, the annual branches are purple brown, and the lenticels are sparse. The leaves are approximately heart-shaped. Flowers solitary, about 37 styles. The fruit is cylindrical, with an average fruit weight of 87.3g and a maximum fruit weight of 130g. The flesh is yellowish green, delicate and juicy, moderately sweet and sour, with rich flavor and aroma, containing soluble solids 12.4 ~ 14.7% and total sugar 6.09 ~ 1 1. The stone size is medium, with an average of 600 ~ 800 seeds per fruit. Mature in the first half of August. The storage period at normal temperature is 5 ~ 7 days.

Yin Yue 2205 has a medium growth potential, with 2-4 branches per year, the germination rate is 40%-65%, the branch formation rate is 82.5%- 100%, and the fruit setting rate is 53%-77%, mainly short and medium branches. After planting for 2 ~ 3 years, the yield per mu reached about 600 kg in 4 years. Strong wind resistance, insect resistance, high temperature resistance and drought resistance.

Wuzhi no.3

Wuzhi 3 was bred by Wuhan Institute of Botany, China Academy of Sciences. 1987 was introduced to our county in spring, with germination period in mid-March and flowering period in mid-April. Due in late August. The fruit stalk is short, the fruit is oval, and the peel is dark green and sparse. The average fruit weight is 85g, and the maximum fruit weight is 150g. The flesh is light green, yellow and small. The meat is delicate, juicy, rich in flavor and high in quality. Soluble solids were 15%, reducing sugar was 7.32%, the ratio of sugar to acid was 8: 1, and the content of vitamin C was 184.8mg/ 100g. The pulp began to soften after being stored at room temperature 1 week.

Wuzhi No.3 plant has a strong growth potential, with a germination rate of 53% and a flowering rate of 83%. The main sequence flowers, with an average of 8 sequence flowers and a small amount of conjoined twins. Output of three-year-old trees15-17kg. The ability to resist diseases and drought is stronger.

Lanyu

Cui Yu Kiwifruit is a new variety bred by Hunan Horticultural Research Institute and Zhang Shicheng of Longzhuangwan Township, Xupu County, Hunan Province. In September of 20001year, it was identified as an early and middle-maturing variety by provincial experts, with excellent fruit quality, large fruit shape, strong flavor, excellent storage resistance and high and stable yield. This variety has conical fruit, prominent fruit, green-brown skin and smooth and hairless fruit surface. The average fruit weight is 85-95g, and the maximum fruit weight is 129-242g. The flesh is green or emerald green, dense, tender and juicy, and sweet. The content of soluble solids is 17.3- 19.5%.

The content of vitamin C in Jadeite Kiwifruit is 143 mg/100 g, the total acidity is 1.4%, and the total sugar is 16%-22%. In mid-September, the yield of three-year-old plants reached 20 kg, with the highest yield of 49 kg, and the yield per mu could reach 2500-4000 kg in high-yield period. The comprehensive characters are better than those of the control varieties Yue Feng, Zaoxian, Kuimi, Bixiang, Qinmei, Jinkui and Hayward. Jade has strong storage resistance, which is similar to Hayward, a fine New Zealand variety, and far exceeds other major varieties. It can be stored at normal temperature (about 25℃) for more than 30 days, and the good fruit rate reaches 89%. After harvesting in early winter, it can be stored until February-April of the following year.

Jadeite kiwifruit also has a prominent advantage, that is, the fruit can be eaten without being completely soft and ripe, with a hardness of about 5 kg/cm and a sour and astringent flavor, which is better than Hayward's.

Hongyang

Hongyang kiwifruit is large and tidy, with a single fruit weight of 60- 1 10g and a maximum fruit weight of 130g. The fruit is short and cylindrical, with brownish green skin and no hair. A lot of fruit juice, sweet and sour, fragrant and refreshing. Excellent fresh-keeping and processing, especially suitable for cooking craft dishes.

The total sugar content of Hongyang kiwifruit is 13.45%, which is nearly 5% higher than that of Heiwote. The total acid content is only 0.49%, the soluble solid content is 16.5%, and it is rich in minerals such as calcium, iron and potassium and 17 amino acids. Vitamin C is as high as 65,438+035, which was put on the market in late August, and can be kept by temperature control until February of the following year.

The stone cross section of Hongyang kiwifruit is radial, and the red stripes are like the sun. Brilliant, beautiful, dazzling, eye-catching, and contains red pigment with nourishing blood and moisturizing effect. Rare varieties selected from wild resources in Cangxi, Sichuan Province were approved and named by Sichuan New Crop Variety Approval Committee on 1997. Later, on this basis, in addition to many superior lines, many red meat varieties were bred, such as late red and red beauty.

Longcanghong

Longzang red kiwifruit is a new kiwifruit variety bred from wild resources in the kiwifruit planting base of Xiaoshajiang Town, Longhui County, Hunan Province. It belongs to the red-fleshed kiwifruit variety in China, and it is a very early-maturing red heart variety with excellent comprehensive properties. After many generations of identification and multi-point trial planting by the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences, its offspring have stable genetic traits, strong stress resistance, large fruit, sweet and delicious taste, good storability, high and stable yield, and high dual-purpose value in fresh food processing, which is unique in China.

The fruit of Longzang Kiwifruit is cylindrical, with an average single fruit weight of 70-80g and a maximum fruit weight of1.25g. The skin is brownish green, and the fruit surface is smooth and hairless. The fruit is bright red around the central axis, and the cross section of the fruit is radiant with color patterns, which is very attractive. The pulp is tender, juicy, sweet and delicious, with soluble solid content 16.5%-23%, acid content 1.47% and solid-acid ratio1.2. Strong aroma and high quality. Fruits are generally storable. They begin to mature after being stored at room temperature (25℃) 10- 14 days, and can be stored in cold storage for about 3 months.

The kiwi fruit tree of Longzang Red is robust, with a large growth of new shoots, a germination rate of 36.3-73.7%, and a strong branching ability. The fruiting rate of branches is about 85%, with 3-8 branches, with an average of 6 branches. In the third year, the average yield per plant is about 20-25 kg, and the yield per mu can reach 2000-3000 kg in the bumper year, with strong and stable yield.

Longzang red kiwifruit can grow and bear fruit normally in high and low altitude areas, with good ecological adaptability, high and stable yield, excellent fruit quality, high temperature and drought resistance and strong pest resistance. However, when cultivated in low altitude areas, the red pulp becomes pale, and the cultivation in areas above 1000 meters above sea level can best reflect the characteristics of its red heart. Therefore, Longcanghong is more suitable for planting in higher altitude areas (1000- 1500m) to fully display its variety characteristics.

Heping 1

Heping 1 strain was bred in 1990 from the rootstock of delicious kiwifruit grafted seedlings introduced from Hunan. The plant has medium growth potential, dense branches, slender branches, medium-sized leaves and dark green. 1 year-old branches are grayish brown with small lenticels. The germination period is in the middle and late March, the flowering period is from the end of April to the beginning of May, and the fruit ripens in the middle and early June, 65438+ 10 month, and the fruit can stay in the branches until June, 65438+February. The defoliation period is 65438+mid-February, and the growth period is about 250 days.

The yield of Heping 1 is average. The yield of 6-year-old plants is 24 kg, the average fruit weight is more than 80 grams, the fruit is cylindrical, the peel is brown, and the fuzz is long and dense. The pulp is green and fragrant, containing soluble solids 14%- 16%, total sugar 7.88%, and vitamin C 77. 1mg per 100g pulp. The storage period of fruits at room temperature is 10-25 days, which is longer than that of China kiwifruit 13 ~ 18 days. During cultivation, it is necessary to strengthen fertilizer and water management, provide sufficient organic fertilizer, and rationally sparse flowers and fruits, which can increase the weight of single fruit. The ratio of male to female is 6: 1.

Rice 1

Miliang 1 Kiwifruit is "Yin Yue Heping No.2". This variety 1990 was introduced from Jishou University in Hunan in spring. It grows vigorously, with big and thick leaves and strong green. 1 year-old branches are grayish brown with large lenticels. The germination period is in the middle and late March and the flowering period is in the late April. There are several conjoined flowers with two rooms and three ovaries. The fruit ripens in the middle and late September. The fruit is long and cylindrical, and the skin is brown. The average fruit weight is 87 grams, and the maximum fruit weight is 135 grams.

Rice 1 kiwifruit is yellow-green, juicy, sweet and sour. It contains soluble solids 15%, total sugar 7.35%, total acid 1.25%, and vitamin C content 77. 1 mg/100 g pulp. The fruit can be stored at room temperature for 7- 14 days. This variety has high yield, moderate age and strong drought resistance.

Xu Xiang (Quxiang No.3)

Xu Xiang kiwifruit, namely "Yin Yue Heping No.3" Xuzhou Orchard in Jiangsu Province, was selected from Hayward seedlings. 1994 was introduced in Xuzhou orchard. The fruit stalk is short and thick, the fruit is round, the skin is yellow-green, and it is covered with brown bristles. The skin of fruit is thin and easy to peel. The average fruit weight is 79 grams, and the maximum fruit weight is 137 grams.

Xu Xiang kiwi fruit has green pulp, juicy, sweet and sour taste, rich aroma and good quality. The soluble solid content is 14.3- 17.8%, and the content of vitamin C per100g of fresh fruit and meat is 99.4-123mg. The fruit ripens in the first half of September. Fruit can be stored for 7- 10 days at room temperature.

Red kiwi fruit

Red-hearted kiwifruit is cylindrical, inverted oval, with concave top fruit base, thin green skin and soft and easy to fall off. The flesh is yellow-green, the axis is white, the ovary is bright red, and the cross section of the fruit is radial red, yellow and green, like the sun pattern. The average fruit weight is about 69 grams, and the maximum fruit weight is 1 10 grams.

Kiwi fruit tree Red Heart has a compact crown, good growth, strong plants and thick and soft branches. In the second year after planting, 30% of the plants bear fruit in the flower test, and all the plants bear fruit in the third year, 2-3 years earlier than Hayward. In the fourth year, the full fruit period can reach 30-40 years, and the economic life is longer. The fruiting branches account for 65% of the sprouting branches, and the fruiting branches can bear 1-4 per year, with a maximum of 5, and the fruit setting rate is over 90%.

Kiwifruit with red heart has strong wind resistance, strong resistance to brown spot, leaf spot and canker, but weaker drought resistance than other varieties.

kiwi fruit or Chinese gooseberry

Huang Jinguo is one of the kiwifruit varieties, native to New Zealand, and named after the yellow flesh after ripening. Huang Jinguo diploid, oval fruit with beak tip, medium-sized fruit, single fruit weight of 80 ~ 140 g, if the biological accelerator BenifitPZ is used, the proportion of large fruit will increase. Soft ripe pulp is yellow to golden yellow, sweet, tender and full of flavor, with soluble solid content 15% ~ 19%, dry matter content 17% ~ 20% and fruit hardness1.2 ~1.4kg.

Kiwifruit with golden yellow fruit has moderate storage resistance. At (0 0.5)℃, the fruit's edible hardness was 1.0 ~ 1.5 kg, and its flavor was obviously different from Hayward's. The optimum storage temperature should be (1.5 0.5)℃ to reduce the damage and decay in cold storage.
