What senior officers have been trained by the National Defense Science and Technology University?
National University of Defense Technology, referred to as National University of Defense Technology for short, is a comprehensive national key university directly under People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Central Military Commission, covering ten disciplines including science, engineering, military science, management, economics, philosophy, literature, education, law and history. It is one of the first batch of key construction institutions in China, including "Project 2 1 1", "Project 985" and "Project 21/kloc-0". Selected in "Plan 20 1 1" and "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan", supported by the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Education.

The school was formerly known as Military Engineering College, and 1953 was founded in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, referred to as "Harbin Military Industry". Since its establishment in the early 1950s, this school has been an important institution of the state and the army. The school is one of the key construction projects in the First Five-Year Plan 156, one of the 20 key universities in China identified by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China 1959, one of the first batch of institutions in the State Council approved to award master's and doctor's degrees, one of the first batch of 22 pilot graduate schools in China, and one of the key institutions invested by the state during the Seventh Five-Year Plan and the Eighth Five-Year Plan. 1970 The school moved south to Changsha, renamed Changsha Institute of Technology, and 1978 was transformed into National University of Defense Technology.

By May of 20 14, there were more than 4,000 students in the school, including 8,400 undergraduates and 5,600 postgraduates.
