Many cities have many ancient buildings, but no city has such a high density of ancient buildings as Huzhou. On this land of less than 6,000 square kilometers, there are a few rare ancient buildings: First, the gardens in the south of the Yangtze River are world-famous, but Huzhou is the best preserved garden in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Nanxun, a small town alone, had more than 20 famous gardens in its heyday, among which 5 gardens enjoyed the title of "giant garden structure", which was magnificent and unique in China; Besides ancient bridges, Huzhou is the city with the highest density of ancient bridges in China, with 248 ancient bridges registered in the urban area alone. There are ll blocks listed as cultural protection units, which span from the Southern Song Dynasty to before liberation. In addition, the 258 ancient stone villas on Mogan Mountain are a collection of architectural styles from Britain, France, America, Germany, Russia and other countries 10. Most of them are rural and castle buildings in western Europe. Of all the villas, only three in China are garden-style buildings. All the villas are similar, and they are called "Villa Museum". Finally, talk about Guxiang in Huzhou. According to records, there are more than 200 Gu Xiang in Huzhou in history.
Garden villas, Gu Xiang, ancient bridges and Yishui dwellings are densely packed, forming an elegant ancient painting. They solidified the ancient time and space, so that modern people can feel the ancient charm at any time.
It is not uncommon to see the combination of Chinese and western ancient buildings, but no city has such a high density of Chinese and western buildings as Huzhou. Some people say that Huzhou is a museum of world architecture. The five "mega-structures" of Nanxun Garden are well-known architectural treasures of combining Chinese and Western styles, and there are many little-known ones. For example, the old house of Hu Jun Girls' Middle School, built in 1905, is a typical American building at first glance, and its roof adopts the steep slope style of an American country villa. However, if you look closely, its application of arc, triangular roof and resting peak is integrated with the architectural style of China. Another example is the Silk Industry Society in Nanxun. On the facade of its western-style carved archway, the foreign language "Silk Fair" is engraved, which is still clearly visible today.
Many cities have unique ancient buildings, but no city has such a high density of single buildings as Huzhou. Here I give three examples: the bridge in the bridge, the tower in the tower and the temple in the temple, which are the three major scenic spots in Huzhou. Yin Chao Bridge, known as the "Middle Bridge", is the representative of the unique craft of Huzhou ancient bridge. There is a wooden bridge in the middle of this stone bridge with a history of more than 400 years, which has the prototype of a modern overpass; The tower in the tower refers to the Fei Ying Tower. It was originally just a stone tower. It was built in the Tang Dynasty. In the Song Dynasty, it was found that there was a flash of Buddha's light in the stone pagoda, so people built a wooden pagoda and wrapped it. Later, the Fei Ying Tower was destroyed, but the architectural form of the Twin Towers was still preserved during the reconstruction. The inner tower we see now was built in the Song Dynasty, with an octagonal five floors. The outer tower is a pavilion-style cornice brick tower; "Temple in the Temple" refers to the City God Temple, which is very famous in Jiangnan.
After a hundred years, ancient buildings have absorbed countless poets and poets, including poems, paintings and historical stories of emperors and princes, and the cultural value of the building itself is constantly improving. In China, there is no city where literati and ink on ancient buildings are as dense as Huzhou. Take the ancient bridge as an example, almost every bridge has different stone carving art, and almost every bridge has a story in its name. Most bridges have bridge monuments, most bridges have bridges, and some bridges are painted with poems, which makes the ancient bridge become a valuable work of art from a simple means of transportation.
