Zhejiang University of Technology is the first university established by the Ministry of Education in the eastern coastal areas, the first batch of universities led by the National "Innovation Ability Improvement Plan for Colleges and Universities" (20 1 1 Plan) and the first batch of key universities in Zhejiang Province.

The school is located in Hangzhou, a famous historical and cultural city and scenic spot in China. It has three campuses in Zhao Hui, Feng Ping and Moganshan, covering an area of 3,365 mu. At present, it has 53 provincial and ministerial scientific research platforms, including the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education (Engineering Research Center), the Key Laboratory of Zhejiang Province, the Collaborative Innovation Center of Zhejiang Province and the New Think Tank of Zhejiang Province.
