Undergraduate and graduate students study in Chinese Department of Beijing Normal University and College of Literature of Hunan Normal University. He has been engaged in education, teaching and management in normal schools, high schools and universities, and is now an adjunct professor at Hunan University, Hunan Normal University and Hunan University of Science and Technology. He used to be the director of education in key middle schools, the deputy editor-in-chief of the academic journal Contemporary Education Forum, and the deputy director of the Institute of Educational Human Resources of Hunan Academy of Educational Sciences. At present, he is also the director of the National Chinese Language Association, the vice chairman of Hunan Chinese Language Association, the executive director of Hunan Education Association, the executive vice president and secretary general of Hunan Special Teacher Association, the vice president of Hunan School History Research Association, the executive director of Hunan Private Association and the vice president of Basic Education Branch.
