Who wrote the inscription on the monument to the north and south levee of Hanjiang River?
Hanjiang north-south dike engineering monument

"Inscription on the North-South Embankment Project of Hanjiang River" is located between the East Gate and the Xiashuimen, near the embankment city. It is an important part of the monument to the North and South Embankments of the Han River. On the front of the monument, there are five characters inscribed by Lu Ruihua, the former governor of Guangdong Province, "South and North Embankments of Hanjiang River". The inscription is located on the north side of the monument, about 3.6 meters high and 2 meters wide. The inscription position is 165 cm long and 138 wide.

The composition is rigorous and natural.

There are 739 words in the Inscription on the North and South Embankment Project of Hanshui River, among which eight characters in the title are seal script, and the text is 730 words, which consists of 30 vertical and 26 horizontal. Following the ancient method, flat-headed seal seals are arranged vertically from left to right, dense and orderly. The whole article is written in print, but there are some changes in print. For example, the word "Nanbei dike" appeared four times, but its writing style changed slightly, while the word "nine" in 1999 appeared one after another, which captured and embodied the writing methods of many calligraphers, such as Yan and Ou, and avoided the disadvantages of boring and chaotic regular script. Anyone who knows a little about calligraphy knows that it is not easy to handle a large regular script with a little change, and it is not easy to change it.

In terms of layout, the proportion of words in the text is 6:5, which is almost square, but fortunately, 23 lines are full and the words in the last three lines are sparse. Coupled with the square title, the whole calligraphy is just the proportion of a manuscript paper to the naked eye, comfortable and decent. At first glance, the inscription is word for word, but because of the skillful brushwork and the combination of brushwork and meaning, the inscription is concise and catchy, which makes people memorable and really enjoys cultural fast food.

Originated from tradition, learn from others.

Guo Aihua, a gifted teacher, loved calligraphy since childhood and was awarded the title of Jin Dian by the famous teacher Wang Xian. He is a scholar of two kings and has been involved in various inscriptions for decades. Preface to the Temple, Preface to the Lanting Pavilion, Jiucheng Palace, Many Pagodas, Pu Shu and Shi Guwen are permanent posts, so the official seal handwriting is universal. Although the inscription on the tablet is distorted by stone carving, it can still be identified where the words "month", "you" and "year" come from. The word "Cheng" is almost a copy of the word "Cheng" in Jiuchenggong. The Eight-character seal script of the Hanshui North-South Dike Project is a classic seal script, which has both ancient charm and elegance, and is a sincere work on a big occasion.

The writing style is dignified and the book style is fresh.

The author has stopped to appreciate the inscriptions many times and listened to the comments of visitors. Most people think that inscriptions are dignified and mellow. Throughout calligraphy, the pen is used at the center, and the combination of concealment and manifestation is emphasized. The pen is natural and delicate, and the brushwork is crisp and neat, without any artificial image. So, when I look at it, it seems that there is a breeze blowing. This style of calligraphy is just in line with the current calligraphy industry.

As the ancients said, the words are just like people, and the Inscription of the South and North Embankments of the Han River is the best portrayal of Guo Aihua's personality and calligraphy virtues.
