1, Lanzhou University: Lanzhou University is a comprehensive national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It was jointly established by the State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and the Ministry of Education. It is a world-class university construction university (Class A) and a key construction university of "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project".

2. Northwest Normal University: Located in Anning District, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province, it is a key university determined by the Gansu Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education.

3. Lanzhou Jiaotong University: It is a key university invested by the central ministries and commissions and built by the Ministry of Transport, the State Railway Administration, China Railway Corporation and the Gansu Provincial People's Government.

4. Lanzhou University of Technology: It is a university jointly established by Gansu Provincial People's Government, Ministry of Education and State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, and it has been selected into the National "Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in the Midwest" and the "Excellent Engineer Program" of the Ministry of Education.
