School profile Inner Mongolia University of Technology is located in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Its predecessor was Suiyuan Senior Industrial School, which was founded in 195 1. 1958, with the support of Tsinghua University and others, Inner Mongolia Institute of Technology was established. It once belonged to the Ministry of Machinery Industry and the Ministry of Agricultural Machinery. 1983 was placed in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and 1993 was renamed Inner Mongolia University of Technology.
