Students with Hong Kong hukou are not allowed to take the college entrance examination directly in the Mainland.

Students with Hong Kong hukou need to take the entrance examination for overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan if they want to go to universities in the Mainland.

The special college entrance examination designed by the Ministry of Education of China for overseas Chinese and students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan is also the main way for overseas Chinese students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan to apply for mainland universities. Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan joint entrance examination can apply for more than 300 universities in China, and the examination mode refers to the mainland college entrance examination. However, the joint entrance examination of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan has independently formulated the examination subjects and scope, and the examination is conducted online, from forecasting names, filling in volunteers to admission procedures. Eligible candidates can go directly to mainland universities for undergraduate or preparatory courses.

Registration conditions for overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan entrance examination:

1, Hong Kong and Macao candidates, Hong Kong and Macao residents' travel permits to and from the Mainland or Hong Kong and Macao residents' residence permits and Hong Kong and Macao residents' identity cards;

2. Candidates from Taiwan Province Province have a pass for residents from mainland travel permit for taiwan residents or Taiwan Province Province to and from the mainland and a valid identity certificate for living in Taiwan Province Province;

3. Overseas Chinese candidates, candidates themselves and one of their parents must obtain long-term or permanent residency in the country of residence, and have lived in the country of residence for two consecutive years, with a cumulative residence of not less than 18 months in two years, of which candidates themselves must actually live for not less than 18 months in the two years before registration;

4. Candidates who have not obtained long-term or permanent residency in their country of residence, but have obtained legal residency in their country of residence for more than five consecutive years (including five years), have lived in their country of residence for not less than 30 months in five years, and have actually lived in their country of residence for not less than 30 months in the five years before registration can also participate.

Article 8 Candidates who take the examination for overseas Chinese and students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan jointly recruited by China People's University and China Colleges and Universities shall provide high school graduation certificates. This year's high school graduates must upload the graduation certificate issued by the graduation middle school and the original transcripts of the last semester from Grade One to Grade Three. Previous students are required to upload the original high school diploma and three-year high school transcripts. Candidates with foreign academic qualifications must also upload the certification of their academic qualifications from China's embassies abroad.
