Bowen College is the third batch of undergraduate enrollment in Gansu Province, but many other regions canceled three books and merged two books and three books, so Bowen College has two batches of enrollment and other regions have three batches of enrollment.

Bowen College of Lanzhou Jiaotong University is located in heping town, Yuzhong County, Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. The school is surrounded by beautiful scenery. There are scenic Guantangou in the south, Wanyan Spring in the north and Peony Garden in the east. Things also run through Xilan Highway and Tianqing Expressway. So many beautiful scenery around also creates a good living environment for students.

The college was established in 2002, and its predecessor was the second-level college of Lanzhou Jiaotong University approved by the Education Department of Gansu Province. In 2004, the college was recognized by the Education Department as the first batch of undergraduate independent colleges in Gansu Province, with independent legal personality. The college has nine departments: Civil Engineering Department, Engineering Management Department, Telecommunication Engineering Department, Electromechanical Engineering Department, Transportation Department, Economic Management Department, Information Management Department, Foreign Languages Department and Art Design Department.

There are 38 undergraduate majors in three teaching departments, namely, Basic Courses Department, Physical Education Department and Ideological and Political Education Department, involving six disciplines, including engineering, science, economics, management and literature and art, forming a multidisciplinary professional group.
