Located in Honggutan New District, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province, it is an undergraduate college with coordinated development of engineering, science, management and literature. The school, formerly known as East China Institute of Technology, was founded in 1978. In 2004, approved by the Ministry of Education, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college and renamed Donghua Institute of Technology.
