China University of Science and Technology is a national key science and engineering university directly under the China Academy of Sciences, which focuses on cutting-edge science and high technology, and has both characteristic management and humanities. It is also the first batch of national key construction institutions of "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Project". It has been selected in the Everest Plan,11Plan, "201Plan", "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan", "Knowledge Innovation Project of Chinese Academy of Sciences" and "National Overseas High-level Talents Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base" successively.

The University of Science and Technology of China was founded in Beijing in 1958, and moved to Hefei, Anhui Province in 1970, with Guo Moruo as the first president. This school is known as the "cradle of scientific and technological talents" in China and enjoys a high reputation at home and abroad. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev once praised it as "a world-class university" [2].

By the end of 20 14, there were more than 5,500 students in the school, including 900 doctoral students, 6,200 master students and 7,400 undergraduates.
