Shandong University is the birthplace of modern higher education in China. The main body is Shandong University Hall founded by 190 1, which is the second national university founded by China after Shi Jing University Hall.
Its medical discipline originated from 1864, which opened modern higher medical education in China. 2. China Ocean University.
The school was formerly a private Qingdao University, founded in 1924. 1930, National Qingdao University was established on the basis of provincial Shandong University and private Qingdao University.

The school was founded in 1953, confirmed as a national key university in 1960, and renamed as Petroleum University in 1988, gradually forming a pattern of running schools in Shandong and Beijing. /kloc-0 officially entered the first batch of national "2 1 1 project" in 1997.
