Guangxi University (GXU), located in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi, is a university jointly founded by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is a national "double-first-class" construction university and was selected as the national "2 1 1 project". 1925 (14th year of the Republic of China), people with Li Zongren as the new Guangxi department decided to establish Guangxi University. 65438-0928, the provincial Guangxi University was established, with Huang as the president and Dr. Ma as the first president. 1939 was renamed as National Guangxi University in Guilin. 1950 merged with Nanning Normal University (now Guangxi Normal University). From 65438 to 0952, the Agricultural College of Guangxi University became an independent Guangxi Agricultural College. 1953 when the departments of colleges and universities in China were adjusted, the teachers, students, disciplines, equipment and books of Guangxi University were adjusted to 19 universities in central and southern China. 65438-0958 the State Council approved the restoration and reconstruction of Nanning Guangxi University. 65438-0997, Guangxi University and Guangxi Agricultural University merged to form a new Guangxi University.
